2027 Chevrolet Traverse

Families shopping for a three-row SUV in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge will find a lot of standard equipment on the 2027 Chevrolet Traverse. In Canada, it is sold in four trims: LT, Z71, RS and High Country. Each one uses a 328-hp 2.5L turbocharged engine, an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. A Trailering Package with a factory hitch is also standard, giving every Traverse a towing rating of 5,000 lb (2,268 kg). This year, Chevrolet adds an interior camera that lets the driver see the back two rows on the centre screen. It comes standard on the Z71, RS and High Country, and the LT can be equipped with it. The High Country also gets a new set of 22-inch high gloss black machined-face aluminum wheels. With up to 2,764 L of cargo room, the Traverse has space for hockey bags, camping gear or a big grocery run. You can see the 2027 Traverse now at Maple Ridge Chevrolet Buick GMC.

What’s new on the 2027 Chevrolet Traverse?

Features across the 2027 lineup highlight refined design and advanced family capability. The biggest exterior change for 2027 is on the High Country, which now wears 22-inch high gloss black machined-face aluminum wheels, paired with black bowtie emblems, black mouldings, and an interior camera system providing complete rear-cabin visibility on the centre display.

Powertrain

2.5L turbocharged engine

Every Traverse uses the same engine: a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder with 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and automatic stop/start.

328 horsepower

Chevrolet lists fuel consumption at 12.1 L/100 km city and 9.9 L/100 km highway across all four trims. That single powertrain easily handles daily drives along the Lougheed Highway or over the Golden Ears Bridge.

Standard AWD & Towing

All-wheel drive is standard on LT, Z71, RS and High Country. On every trim, the standard Trailering Package brings a factory hitch, a heavy-duty cooling system, a 220-amp alternator, and Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, supporting up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) of towing.

twin-clutch AWD system

The Z71 switches to an advanced twin-clutch AWD system tuned for multi-terrain use. A twin-clutch rear axle sends torque to the rear wheel with the most traction, and a terrain mode is included, alongside standard Hill Descent Control.

Technology

Cameras play a big role in the 2027 Traverse. The new interior camera gives the driver a live look at the second and third rows on the centre display. HD Surround Vision adds camera views around the vehicle, and the Rear Camera Mirror shows a wider, less blocked view behind you, with brightness, tilt and zoom controls. These three are standard on the Z71, RS and High Country, and available on the LT. Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist is standard on the RS and High Country. SiriusXM with 360L comes with a trial subscription on all trims, and a 12-speaker Bose system is standard on the top two.

For driver assistance, Chevrolet Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Forward Collision Alert and Front Pedestrian Braking. Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Zone Steering Assist come on every Traverse. So does Rear Cross Traffic Braking. Teen Driver and Buckle to Drive help parents set rules for new drivers. Super Cruise allows hands-free driving on compatible roads while prompting the driver to stay attentive. It is standard on the RS and High Country, optional on the LT and Z71, and includes up to three years of OnStar One with Super Cruise.

Exterior

The biggest exterior change for 2027 is on the High Country, which now wears 22-inch high gloss black machined-face aluminum wheels. That trim also carries a black bowtie emblem, black bodyside and rocker mouldings, and high gloss black-painted wheel mouldings. The RS uses a similar dark theme with its own 22-inch high gloss black painted wheels and a high gloss black sporty grille. LED headlamps with sequential turn signals and a walk-up animation are standard on every trim, as is IntelliBeam, which switches the high beams on and off automatically.

The Traverse measures 5,194 mm long and 1,801 mm tall. The LT starts on 18-inch Grazen Metallic machined-face wheels, with 20-inch and 22-inch designs on the options list. The Z71 uses 18-inch high gloss black machined-face wheels on all-terrain tires, and it sits higher at 197 mm of ground clearance. Every trim has an AutoSense power liftgate, and the liftover height is 780 mm. The RS and High Country add Rainsense automatic wipers and a heated wiper park. A dual-pane panoramic power sunroof is standard on those two trims and available on the LT and Z71.

Interior

Up front, two screens handle most tasks. A 17.7-inch diagonal colour display with Google built-in compatibility sits in the centre, and an 11-inch diagonal Driver Information Centre sits behind the wheel. The gear selector is mounted on the steering column. Wireless phone charging, front and rear USB ports and Wi-Fi Hotspot capability come on every trim. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and remote start are standard everywhere, too. On the RS and High Country, the driver gets memory settings and a power tilt and telescoping steering column.

The standard layout seats seven in a 2-2-3 arrangement, and LT buyers can choose eight-passenger seating. A SmartSlide second-row passenger seat slides forward with one lever pull to open a path to the third row. Third-row legroom measures 816 mm, and second-row legroom measures 1,053 mm. Tri-zone automatic climate control and rear climate controls help keep everyone comfortable. For cargo, there are 648 L behind the third row, 1,603 L behind the second row and 2,764 L with both rows folded. The RS and High Country add second-row bucket seats and a power 60/40 split-folding third row.

Four trims make up the Canadian lineup: LT, Z71, RS and High Country.

Four trims make up the Canadian lineup. The LT covers the basics with cloth seats, 18-inch wheels and the most options, including eight seats and the Midnight/Sport Edition. The Z71 is the trail-focused choice, with twin-clutch AWD, all-terrain tires, red tow hooks and 197 mm of ground clearance. The RS leans sporty with blacked-out 22-inch wheels, a flat-bottom steering wheel and available red-accented leather-appointed seats. At the top, the High Country gets the new 22-inch machined-face wheels, Evotex Ultra seats, ventilated front seats and standard Super Cruise. Every trim keeps the same engine, AWD and towing rating.
